The Lord our God is a God of promise, he accomplishes what he says he will do. He is a God of covenant, steadfast and immoveable. All through the Scriptures God reveals this truth about himself, and through scripture we see God entering into covenant with the people he has chosen for his name.
In Scripture we also witness pivotal moments in history when the people of God renew their covenant with the Lord.
This morning, we celebrate in a Wesleyan tradition that is more than two-centuries old, together we participate in what is known as a Wesley Covenant service. We will together covenant before God, renewing our commitment to the faith individually and corporately. Reaffirming our calling as the Church to continue the work of the Gospel we have been given for the next 75 years, or for as long as Jesus tarries.
The one who calls us is faithful and He will do it!
